François VIEL has worked in the agricultural sector for forty years, during which time he has held various positions both in France and abroad.

Since December 2023, he has been working at the French Embassy in Warsaw, as the Agricultural Counsellor for the region of Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia. In this role, he promotes French agricultural policies, supports French businesses, and monitors agricultural news, regulations, and policies in the region.

Previously, he has contributed his expertise to a wide range of areas, including forestry, fisheries and aquaculture, sanitary and phytosanitary issues, financing and audits of the Ministry's policies. He has also represented the Ministry of Agriculture at the French Embassies in Hungary, Russia and Turkey, and served as an advisor to the Georgian Minister of Agriculture in Tbilisi.

François VIEL is graduate from the faculty of philosophy and public law, and an alumnus of ENA (Ecole Nationale d'Administration).
