Graduate in agricultural economics at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), owns a fruit farm. Member of the Polish Fruit Farmers' Association since 1999, serving as its President since 2002. Local-government councillor: between 2002 and 2004, Chairman of the Grójec Poviat Council; until 2005, Head of the Grójec Poviat. Member of the PSL General Council. Member of Parliament since 2005, continuously since 2005, member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (he has also been its vice-chairman three times). He also served on the Committee on Petitions during the ninth term of the Sejm.
