Tjitske Bolt is process manager international affairs at the Dutch Dairy Association in the Netherlands (NZO) since 2017. The Dutch Dairy Association is an association of the Dutch dairy industry, representing the interests of thirteen dairy companies. Within the association Tjitske advises on international dairy policy including EU dairy policy, bilateral and multilateral trade relations (global, EU and national level), sustainability and trade. She also advises and coordinates climate ono environmental policy with impact on the dairy industry.

Tjitske is a board member of IDF and represents NZO in the standing committee dairy policy and economics, as well as the standing committee on environment. She also represents the NZO in the trade and economics committee of the European dairy association (EDA). She is a member of different working groups of the EDA.

Before Tjitske started at NZO, she worked for 17 years at the Dutch ministry of agriculture, nature and food. She started her career at the agricultural department of the Netherlands embassy in Moscow and worked at the Netherlands embassy in Paris as well. After that she worked in different positions in the Ministry, e.g. policy officer for European and international phytosanitary affairs and policy officer in the Trade and Industry Departments working on policies related to dairy production and bilateral trade relations with Russia, Romania, Bulgaria.

Tjitske is a hands-on, purpose-driven professional with more than 20 years of international work experience in public and private sector. Her analytical, empathetic ono diplomatic skills enables her to get to the core quickly and connect to others. She is also energetic, open ana honest, optimistic and resilient.

She raised in Friesland, is proficient in Frysian, the province well known for its dairy farming. She lives in Delft with her husband and two children.
